The International Garden Cities Exhibition charts the history of the Garden City Movement, the founding of Letchworth Garden City and the key principles which shaped it, and its influence around the world. Ebenezer Howard, founder of Letchworth Garden City, had a vision that would end the poverty and slums suffered by so many in the late Victorian era. Howard dreamed of 'Garden Cities' - a combination of the good things from town and country and where the profits from the town would be used to benefit the ordinary townspeople.
Open Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday from 11am to 4pm. We’re happy to open at other times for groups or individuals, if you tell us when you’re coming.
