The object of the Society is to advance the education of the public in Cornish pre-history, history, traditions, folklore, music, industries and in the Cornish language. The Society arranges lectures, exhibitions, seminars and visits and participates in the activities of the Federation of Old Cornwall Societies. The Society presents a seasonal exhibition of Cornish antiquities and is part of the Restormel Museums network supported by the Royal Cornwall Museum. The Society has an extensive document and photographic archive which can be accessed through its web site.

DairyLand Farm Park is on the Newquay to St. Austell road about 2 miles from Quintrell Downs. The Archive room is in the Municipal Offices in central Newquay on Marcus Hill TR7 1AF
