The Devon Rural Archive was launched in 2006 to promote a greater understanding of the county's rural domestic architecture. With a growing reference library and archive which are open to the public three days a week for private research our centre provides the perfect place to explore Devon's architectural heritage. This is complemented by regular exhibitions, various events and our very own research project through which a small team of Archaeologists visit and record the history, and development of manor houses and farmhouses across Devon. All this is situated in our purpose built facilities on the historic Shilstone estate in the heart of the South Hams.
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 11am - 3pm. Other times by appointment.
