Are you interested in the history of Bath? The Record Office collects,preserves and makes available to everyone historical records relating to Bath. These records include documents from the 12th century to the present day, reflecting all aspects of life in Bath. We welcome all visitors, whatever their area of research. We hold a huge range of sources for family history, house history, and the local history of Bath, as well as for wider academic research. The entire collection of this Record Office is a Designated Collection of national importance.
Please make an appointment if you are planning to visit the Record Office. Tuesday to Thursday: 09.00-13.00 and 14.00-17.00 Friday: 09.00-13.00 and 14.00-16.30 Closed on Mondays
