Churchside Winterton
DN15 9TU

All Saints is a building of great antiquity and heritage and a Grade 1 listed building located at the heart of Winterton's Conservation Area. The fabric dates from the 11th century with substantial sections from the 12th, 13th and 14th centuries. Close to the south porch is a Grade II medieval churchyard cross shaft. The church is home to a heritage display that explores the town's fascinating history, including the discovery of the ruins of a large Roman villa complete with mosaic floors and other important finds that illustrate the area's long history of human settlement. All Saints is a particularly rich heritage resource in its own right. It is a repository of the social history of the ancient Anglo-Saxon and medieval settlement of Winterton. This, with its archives and artefacts, makes it the natural focus for telling the story of Winterton's heritage.
