Abbpast

As museums and galleries across the UK begin to reopen, please take extra care to check their websites and social media channels for up to date information as opening times, days and dates here may not be correct.

AbbPast was formed in 2010 by the residents of Abbotskerswell to foster both the study of the village's history and also a wider interest in History. We hold a meeting once a month, which is held on the second Monday, in Church House at 7. 30pm. There are also visits arranged to places of historical interest. We have speakers on a variety of topics, which can be seen on the Meetings page. There are also Meeting Reviews to give an idea of the nature of each meeting. For the centenary of the First World War AbbPast is conducting indepth research project into the servicemen who are listed on the village's Roll of Honour and Duty. There are 18 men on the memorial and we have set ourselves the task of finding out all we can about who they were, where they lived and the roles they performed during the war. See the weblink (right) for more details.
