MP, Sir. Barnett Stross worked tirelessly to improve the working and living conditions of ordinary people throughout the 40s, 50s and 60s. He was the leader of the “Lidice Shall Live” campaign of 1942, co founder of the Save The Children Fund and humanitarian. Stross was a strong believer in the role art can play in bringing about positive change. The Friends of Barnett Stross continues his work by remembering the Lidice atrocity, at home and abroad, celebrating the village's rebirth, and raising aspirations among the young through art and cultural events.
