The National Centre for Craft & Design in Sleaford, Lincolnshire is the largest venue in England entirely dedicated to the exhibition, celebration and promotion of contemporary international craft and design. The venue hosts a range of internationally significant makers, designers and artists across four gallery spaces. NCCD also has a retail space with a range of gifts from over 30 makers and a wonderful Riverside Café serving drinks and light bites.

Opening Hours:

As part of our phased re-opening, our opening hours have changed: Mon - Closed Tue - Closed Wed - Closed Thu - 10am to 4pm Fri - 10am to 4pm Sat - 10am to 4pm Sun - 10am to 4pm Please use the Eastgate Green entrance to enter NCCD. We are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day

Travel directions:

By Car Lincoln, Newark, Boston and Grantham are approximately a 20–30 minute drive away. The A15 and A17 routes pass directly through Sleaford linking to the A1 within 20 minutes. Use NG34 7DW for sat navs and follow the brown signs which are displayed on all approaches to the town. Parking Eastgate car park is directly adjacent to the Centre and between Monday and Saturday the first hour parking is FREE, then £1.50 for 1-3 hours and £3.50 all day. On Sunday and Bank Holiday parking is FREE. Disabled parking spaces are also available. By Train Sleaford is approximately 2 hours from London Kings Cross, 1 hour from Nottingham and 30 minutes from Lincoln Central. NCCD is a 5 minute walk from Sleaford train station. By Bus National Express coaches run a service between Sleaford and London and from other major cities and towns. Sleaford is locally serviced by Centrebus and Stagecoach. By Air Our nearest airports are Doncaster Robin Hood International, Humberside and East Midlands which are all less than 1 hour 30 minutes by car from NCCD.

Facilities information:

Accessibility & Facilities NCCD is a fully accessible building with lift access to all floors, with accessible toilets on three floors of the building. All floors of the building are also wheelchair and buggy friendly and mobility scooters are available on request. There is a café on the ground floor of the building serving hot and cold food and drink. Baby changing facilities are also available.
