The trust was established to raise funds to erect a memorial in a public place in central Reading, to the men and women of the Berkshire Yeomonary (past, present and future), the 426 who gave their lives in the wars of the 20th century and to Trooper Potts VC who won his VC at Gallipoli 21-23 August 1915. The Memorials were unveiled on 4 October 2015 by Chris Tarrant OBE and the Lord-Lieutenant of Berkshire. The life size sculpture is by Tom Murphy. It was cast in bronze by the Morris Singer Fine Art Foundry. We continue to fund-raise cover annual maintenance costs. Educational Outreach to local schools and colleges continues.
