The Honourable Company of Master Mariners is a City of London Livery Company open to British and Commonwealth Master Mariners from the Merchant and Royal Navies. Its livery hall is the ship HQS Wellington, on board which exhibitions periodically are staged. The current exhibition, War & Trade', explains the role of the Mercantile Marine and Fishing Fleets during the First World War. The HCMM organises the annual Remembrance Day Service at the national Merchant Navy Memorial on Tower Hill to which all are invited: see 'Events'. The HCMM has a number of outports for its members across the UK:- Bristol Channel Outport is centred in Cardiff. Clyde Outport is centred in Glasgow. North East of England Outport meets at various locations between the Humber and Tyne. North East of Scotland Outport is centred in Aberdeen. North West of England Outport is centred in Liverpool.
Current exhibition, 'War & Trade', is open to the public from 11 am to 5 pm on Sundays and Mondays only from 15th July to 11th November 2018 inclusive.
