Take a tram ride through time. Step aboard a vintage tram and travel back in time along a recreated village street complete with working pub. Explore fascinating exhibitions and watch trams being restored from the Workshop Viewing Gallery. Plus children’s playground, tea-rooms, shops, and Woodland Walk & Sculpture Trail. George Stephenson Workshop Discovery and Learning Centre - come and explore the story of the Museum site and find out why trams were seen as the solution to inner city overcrowding. The entire collection of this museum is a Designated Collection of national importance.
