BALTIC's Sensory Room re-opens Thursday 10 September FREE, Booking essential Time slots available Mon-Sun, 10.30-12.00 & 13.00-14.30 We’re delighted to announce that BALTIC’s Sensory Room will re-open on Thursday 10 September. We're looking forward to welcoming you back safely. We've put changes in place so that you can enjoy a safe visit with your family, household or bubble in a relaxed environment. BALTIC's Sensory Room is a quiet space to play and explore with sensory toys, projections and lights. You’ll find two sets of fibre optics, a bubble tube, a light table with coloured shapes, projector, two large light-up orbs and cubes, a sofa, two large soft shapes and wipe-able matting in our Sensory Space. Before visiting we are asking all visitors to book a free group ticket for up to 6 people for an allocated morning or afternoon timeslot; 10.30-12.00 or 13.00-14.30. This will help us manage the number of people visiting and ensure that you and your family can experience the Sensory Room safely. The Sensory Room will be exclusively yours for up to 90 minutes and will be cleaned between each booking. Each booking has a maximum of 6 attendees, yourself and those in your household or bubble. If you wish to visit the galleries before or after your Sensory Room timeslot, you will need to book a free ticket www.baltic.art/tickets To begin with, only the Sensory Room of our Learning Lounge will be open, although of course you’ll be able to use our Learning Lounge toilets including our toddler toilets and accessible toilets with WispaLite hoists 200kg, closomat wash and dry systems and shower. We are asking all visitors to wear a face covering when visiting BALTIC. Face coverings are mandatory for all visitors except those with health and breathing issues, and children under the age of 11, in line with government guidelines.
