Ashmolean Museum

Beaumont Street

Tue 9 Nov, 2–3pm Online With Alice Foster, Art Historian Boudin was one of the first painters to work out of doors. He observed carefully the landscapes, the sea and the skies (Corot called him “King of the Skies”). He admired the Dutch Masters but above all Boudin was motivated by light: Normandy, Brittany and the South of France all had different possibilities for him. In this talk, Alice Foster uncovers the work of this great French Master. The event will take place online on Zoom and a link to join the event will be shared in advance by email. Booking is essential and tickets are £4 each.
