Small and friendly local history museum. A regular programme of local history, archeology, photographic and arts and craft exhibitions. Recent exhibitions have included paintings by William Ewart Lockhart, a centenary display on Cochran Boiler Makers, local architectural plans and the finds from Birrens Roman fort.
