Located in the rural village of Alford, just 45 minutes from Aberdeen, the museum boasts an impressive range of transport exhibits, from the stage and mail coach era, to some of the fastest cars ever made. Every season the museum refreshes around one-third of its exhibits. This year’s exhibition includes, ‘The Guy Martin Collection’ featuring his record-breaking transit van and ‘Probing the Future’ which gives an in-depth look at the future of electric and autonomous vehicles. A few old favourites remain, including our Mack Snowplough, Billy Connolly’s Boom Lowrider motortrike and one of our Curator’s favourites, the ex-Grampian Police Rover SD1 Vitesse. Our Tea Room is also open daily and serves an array of excellent value hot drinks, light lunches and snacks. We have our very own Junior Driving School - a fun and educational introduction to road safety and driving for children aged 4 to 10 years old. (Please check opening times on our website, as these vary and are weather dependent)
