The Museum of Asian Music is an innovative learning resource with a busy calendar of recitals, events and exhibitions. Opened by the Prince of Wales in 2008, the museum offers an interactive way to discover the diversity of Asian music in a hands-on environment. Permanent exhibits of musical instruments from across the continent are accompanied by touch-screen displays featuring music and video clips, and digital access to an extensive AV archive. Supported by an Arts Capital lottery award from Arts Council England, the museum is the first of its kind in the country. Visits from individuals, groups and schools welcome.
