Great War Huts is a unique First World War heritage project bringing original 100 year old wooden army huts to Hawstead from all over the country to restore them using period techniques. They are then reconstructed as part of a bigger project to create a ground-breaking First World War visitor centre and museum.
This is currently an ongoing project - special events are held to enable access to the general public.
